The kid is not being used as bait, the deadbeat dad just does not care enough about his child to take care of him. The dad refuses to take accountability for his violent crimes and the victims he has harmed.

You are quoting DHS's statement that was contested by witnesses, that claimed that DHS attempted to lure Liam's other family members out of their house, because they did not have a warrant. There were other adults, from Liam's school, that could have taken him, with permission from his parents. Instead, they brought him to a detention center on the other side of the country.
Witnesses don't have any idea about the operation. That's why its stupid for them to get involved. Their ignorance and the parents lack of care lead to a child being abandoned.
You must not be a parent. I can never imagine abandoning my child like they did to him. All for fear of taking accountability.

That’s not how witnesses described the incident and Liam Ramos’ father does not have a criminal record, let alone a violent criminal record.

You keep saying taking accountability, but he entered the country through a port of entry and was pursuing a legal pathway for migration.
